Nissan’s new C-segment SUV is scheduled for its global debut on October 7, 2025. According to media reports, Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan’s Global Design Senior Vice President, and Ken Lee, Senior Design Director, will unveil the design vision for this mid-size SUV. While the official name and complete details are yet to be released, it is speculated that the production version may be named Nissan Kyte. The SUV is expected to launch in India in early 2026 and will compete with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
The upcoming compact SUV could be based on the third-generation Renault Duster, which is slated for release in early 2026. Both vehicles will share the platform, engines, features, and many parts. However, this Nissan SUV will feature a completely new design. Teaser images suggest the compact SUV will have Nissan’s signature grille with two thin chrome strips. It will also include L-shaped connected LED DRLs.
