Oppo is poised to launch its Reno 14 Series in India, intensifying the competition in the smartphone market. The series, which debuted in China in May, will be available on Amazon and Flipkart in India. The Indian variant is expected to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chip. Key features include a 50MP main camera and AI-powered tools to enhance performance.
The Pro model will boast a 6200 mAh battery. The official launch is scheduled for July 3, with a virtual tech launch streamed on Oppo’s social media at 12 PM IST. Oppo has been actively promoting the upcoming launch through social media posts and a dedicated microsite.
Similar to its Chinese counterpart, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G is anticipated to feature a quad-camera setup, including a 50MP OV50E 1.55-inch sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP OV50D sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The Reno 14 will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chipset and will have a 6,200 mAh battery, supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The other variant is set to have a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX883 sensor with a 1.95-inch pixel size and OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Both phones will feature a 5MP front camera with autofocus. Embracing the trend of AI integration, the phones will include Voice Enhancer, AI Editor 2.0, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Style Transfer, and AI Live Photo 2.0.
While Oppo has not yet announced the prices, media reports suggest the Indian prices will align with the Chinese variants. The Reno 14 5G launched in China in May with a price of CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs 33,200) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G is priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs 41,500) for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The Reno 14 series is set for a global launch on July 1 at 6 PM.
