A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru witnessed an unusual event when a passenger found himself locked in the airplane’s restroom for the duration of the flight. The airline has apologized to the passenger and reportedly offered compensation for the unfortunate experience. The incident has sparked both concern and amusement.

The passenger was eventually freed after the plane landed at Bengaluru airport. Ground staff and engineers were required to break open the malfunctioning toilet door.

The incident occurred on a Monday night flight, which departed Mumbai two hours behind schedule, at 2:10 AM. The passenger, seated in seat 14D, entered the restroom shortly after takeoff, only to discover the door lock had jammed, trapping him inside.

Despite the passenger and crew’s efforts, the door remained locked. The crew then decided to slip a handwritten note under the door, advising the passenger not to panic and to remain seated until the flight landed in Bengaluru.

The crew’s note and the unusual circumstances have quickly gone viral on social media. The incident sparked humorous comments and highlighted the crew’s attempt to assist the distressed passenger.

The flight landed in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM. An airport engineer subsequently opened the door. SpiceJet has expressed its regret and apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passenger.
