In a heartwarming gesture for Raksha Bandhan, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles partnered to create a touching initiative. Under the banner of ‘Raksha Ka Bandhan,’ women employees from the Durga Line at the Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles plant in Jamshedpur crafted special rakhis for truck drivers.
The women employees, who contribute to building India’s safest trucks, complete with crash-tested cabins and advanced safety features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), view the trucks not just as machines, but as essential tools for livelihood. For these women, each driver is akin to family, even if they’ve never met. The rakhis they made represent not just threads, but prayers for safe journeys and a promise that someone, somewhere, cares about their well-being.
The rakhis journeyed from Jamshedpur to the Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai, traversing various states. At these locations, the rakhis were tied on the wrists of the truck drivers. For the drivers, this moment was an emotional reassurance that their tireless travels across the nation’s highways are valued and that their safety is paramount.
To capture the essence of this unique endeavor, the story unfolded through TV9 Network’s lens. The network collaborated with Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles to document the entire process, from the creation of the rakhis by the women employees to the emotional messages sent to the drivers and the touching moments of the rakhis being tied on the drivers’ wrists. These special stories and videos were then brought to life across TV9’s major broadcast platforms, transforming a corporate endeavor into a nationwide celebration of bonds.
Through this initiative, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles reiterated its philosophy of safety and care. The campaign served as a salute to India’s truck drivers, who selflessly drive the nation forward, ensuring that goods reach every corner. The drivers, in turn, were reminded that their journeys matter, their safety matters, and their relationships matter.
