Royal Enfield has introduced the Shadow Ash edition of its Guerrilla 450, following the trend of manufacturers releasing dark editions of their vehicles. The new color scheme was launched at the GRRR Nights X Underground event in Pune, which was held in partnership with Tapaswi Racing. The Guerrilla, known for its sporty appeal, aims to be a neo-retro streetfighter with a blend of sporty features and cruiser aesthetics. The Shadow Ash trim is based on the mid-spec Dash trim level and is priced the same as the standard colorways at ₹2.49 lakh. Bookings have begun, and deliveries are scheduled to start on August 25 across India. The new trim features a dual-tone fuel tank with black at the front and an olive-green shade extending across the bike. The front mudguard is black, with the rest of the bodywork in olive green. The alloy wheels also feature the new color accents. The bike retains its mechanical specifications, with the Sherpa 450 engine, a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4V engine producing 40 bhp of peak power and 40 Nm of torque. It includes an electronic throttle, a slipper clutch, and a 6-speed gearbox, along with 17-inch alloys, a 160-section rear tyre, dual-channel ABS, RSU telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock.
The article includes a comparison table with competitor bikes such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS 400, Husqvarna 401, KTM Duke 390, and TVS Apache RTR 310, detailing engine specifications, performance figures, suspension, chassis, weight, and price. This comparison highlights the Guerrilla’s position within the market and its potential challenges from rival models.
