Royal Enfield has unveiled a glimpse of its production-ready Himalayan-E electric motorcycle, following prior testing in mountainous terrains. According to an older report, the bike’s prominent feature is its uniquely designed battery box, integrated into the chassis. While specific details about the Himalayan-E remain scarce, reports suggest the bike will incorporate Flax fibre composite bodywork. It’s also expected to feature a bespoke swingarm from Harris Performance. Royal Enfield aims to extend its presence in the EV market, as demonstrated by its 50 million Euro investment in Stark Future Sl, a Spanish off-road firm. The Himalayan-E, initially developed as a capability exercise, also led to the creation of a new wind tunnel test facility to optimize the range of its electric powertrain.
