Royal Enfield is poised to expand its motorcycle lineup significantly, with plans including sub-1000cc bikes and electric models. The company aims to strengthen its global presence, particularly with innovative offerings like the Flying Flea, which incorporates cutting-edge technology. The Flying Flea, showcased at CES, leverages the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform. Mario Alvisi, Royal Enfield’s Chief Growth Officer, highlighted the strategic importance of the Snapdragon integration in creating a unique product experience. The QWM2290 SoC, designed specifically for electric two-wheelers, will power the vehicle control unit and in-house operating system, offering riders comprehensive control via an interactive TFT display.
Reports suggest the imminent launch of new 750cc bikes, with sightings of a potential new engine being tested. The Continental GT may feature a cafe racer-style fairing. The upcoming Auto Expo 2025 could be the platform for these launches. Simultaneously, an electric version of the Himalayan adventure bike has been spotted, featuring design modifications like a redesigned seat and battery placement where the engine usually resides. It includes features like an Öhlins monoshock, Nissin petal discs and aluminum frame.
The Himalayan 750 is expected to be powered by a 750cc engine, geared for off-roading. The bike has undergone rigorous testing at high altitudes, suggesting an imminent launch.
