Tata Motors has introduced two new models of the Harrier and Safari in the Indian market, named Adventure X. These new models offer a feature-rich experience, similar to the top-end variants, but at a more affordable price point. The new Tata Harrier Adventure X is priced at ₹18.99 lakh, while the Harrier Adventure X Plus is priced at ₹19.34 lakh. The Tata Safari Adventure X Plus is priced at ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata has reduced the variant lineup for the Harrier and Safari from 11 to 6 and 5, respectively. The car manufacturer claims that the new Adventure X and X Plus models incorporate numerous features found in the top-spec variants, making them more economical. Many people often purchase the base models of these vehicles and opt for aftermarket modifications. However, with these new models, there’s no need for external modifications. Karol Bagh in Delhi is a well-known location for car modifications.
Tata Harrier Adventure X is a new mid-level variant with several features. It includes a new Seaweed Green color option, in addition to 6 other available colors. The SUV features 17-inch alloy wheels. Features include leatherette upholstery, Level-2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and terrain response modes like Normal, Rough, Wet, and a mono-shifter from Land Rover.
The difference between the Harrier Adventure X and X+ is that the X+ includes Level-2 ADAS, EPB, and rear disc brakes, which makes it ₹34,000 more expensive than the X variant.
The new Safari Adventure X+ also comes with several features, such as the new Supernova Copper color with Adventure Oak interior, 18-inch alloy wheels, light brown leather upholstery, Level-2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, EPB, a 360-degree camera, terrain response modes, a mono-shifter, an electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and a digital console.
Both the Tata Harrier and Safari Adventure X models are equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, delivering 168 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. They offer a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox option. In addition, Tata has launched a new Pure X variant, which is positioned above the entry-level Smart variant (₹15 lakh) and is priced at ₹17.99 lakh.
