Tesla has launched a new long-wheelbase version of the Model Y specifically for the Chinese market. The new Model Y features a six-seater configuration, offering increased cabin space. This electric SUV also boasts an extended range. The primary goal of the new Model Y is to enhance Tesla’s sales in China, which have seen a decline. This model is positioned as a compelling option for families. The new Tesla Model Y measures 4,976 mm in length, an increase of 179 mm compared to its predecessor. The wheelbase has been extended by 150 mm, now reaching 3,040 mm. Furthermore, the SUV stands at a height of 1,668 mm. Visually, the Model Y L includes a longer roofline and a larger quarter glass, along with new 19-inch alloy wheels, a black rear spoiler, and a unique ‘Model YYY’ badge on the tailgate. A new Starlight Gold paint scheme is also available for the Model Y.
