Following the launch of the i20 premium hatchback’s Knight Edition in the Indian market, Hyundai has now introduced its all-black model, the i20 Knight Edition. This new limited edition features a completely black interior with black-out elements that further enhance its theme. Design highlights include black-themed alloy wheels, roof rails, skid plates, side sill garnish, outside mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a matte black Hyundai logo. Other features like red brake calipers and sporty metal pedals further enhance this package. Inside, the seats are adorned with completely black upholstery, and brass inserts give it a distinct look. The Knight Edition is available in the standard i20’s Sportz (O) and Asta (O) trims at a starting price of ₹9.15 lakh (ex-showroom). This theme is also available in the i20 N Line’s N8 and N10 variants, with a starting price of ₹11.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium hatchback is powered by a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 83 Hp and a peak torque of 115 Nm. Its engine is paired with a 5-speed manual and CVT transmission. The 1.2-liter petrol engine also features an idle stop and go feature. Hyundai has discontinued the 1.0-liter petrol variant. This engine comes with a 7-speed DCT and 6-speed iMT. With the launch of the i20 Knight Edition, Hyundai has also introduced new features for the i20 and i20 N Line (which vary depending on the selected variant). These include a roof-mounted spoiler and dashcam.
