TVS is poised to introduce the Ntorq 150, a more powerful iteration of its popular scooter line. The sporty model is anticipated to launch on Thursday, September 4th. The company has been generating excitement with visual teasers, including a recent glimpse of the scooter’s exhaust note, a sound typically not associated with scooters. As the launch of the Ntorq 150 nears, here’s a preview of what the new scooter is expected to offer.
Design and Features: The new Ntorq 150’s refreshed headlamp cluster was previewed in a recent teaser. Its T-shaped housing, equipped with a quad-LED setup, will give it a more distinctive appearance compared to the existing Ntorq 125. Furthermore, the new model is predicted to adopt a Maxi-style design, abandoning the smaller silhouette. Mirroring its competitors, the scooter will likely feature 14-inch wheels.
As TVS’s flagship ICE scooter, the Ntorq 150 is expected to be packed with advanced features. It may include a fully digital TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, supported by TVS SmartXonnect, offering riders navigation, call and text alerts, service reminders, and more.
Expected Specifications: The Ntorq 150 is highly likely to be powered by a new 150cc engine, marking TVS’s entry into the 150cc scooter segment, alongside rivals like the Hero Xoom 160, Aprilia SR 175, and Yamaha Aerox 155. The engine could be based on the 159.7cc unit found in the Apache series. The power mill is projected to deliver around 14–15 bhp.
Expected Price: The TVS Ntorq 150 is expected to be priced competitively, likely below Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), potentially due to its engine’s simpler construction compared to its rivals. For context, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 1.51 lakh, while the Hero Xoom 160 costs Rs 1.49 lakh (both ex-showroom).
