TVS is expanding its electric scooter lineup with the introduction of the Orbiter EV, a new model positioned below the iQube. The official debut of the Orbiter is scheduled for August 28, as confirmed by TVS. This new scooter is designed with a fresh approach and aims for a more accessible target audience, differentiating it from the iQube. Details about the Orbiter’s specifications and features have been kept secret until now, but reports suggest a straightforward, cost-effective electric scooter powered by a hub-mounted motor. The Orbiter is expected to serve as the entry-level model in TVS’s EV portfolio. TVS has also trademarked alternative names like EV One and O. The iQube currently offers various versions, and the Orbiter is likely to follow suit. The iQube’s pricing ranges from ₹1 lakh to nearly ₹2 lakh, and the Orbiter is expected to be more affordable with a smaller battery, simpler components, and fewer features.
