TVS has launched its newest electric vehicle, the Orbiter, positioning it below the iQube in its electric scooter lineup. The Orbiter’s debut showcased its unique features and range capabilities. The scooter incorporates an IP67-certified traction motor and battery. The Orbiter distinguishes itself with an unconventional design, featuring a flat floor for enhanced comfort and an extended seat for a relaxed riding experience. The scooter is available in six vibrant colors: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper. It boasts a high-mounted headlamp cluster, complemented by a DRL integrated into the front apron. Designed for comfort, the EV includes an 845 mm flat seat for a relaxed riding posture. It offers 169 mm of ground clearance and rides on 14-inch wheels. Practicality is enhanced with 34 liters of under-seat storage and an additional 290 mm of usable space on the flat footboard. The Orbiter is equipped with segment-first cruise control, along with safety checks to ensure rider protection. It also includes a USB charging port and automated hill assist for easier handling of inclines. The Orbiter is designed to deliver a range of approximately 158 km on a single full charge. For added convenience, the scooter features a connected cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling functions like live location tracking, anti-theft alerts, updates on nearby charging stations, and vehicle health status. A motor cut-off safety system prevents acceleration in the event of a fall. The 158 km range is supported by a 3.1 kWh battery pack. A 94 km range option is available with a 2.2 kWh battery pack. The Orbiter is priced at ₹99,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore) and can be booked through TVS’s official website.
