The Renault Kiger facelift is slated for launch on August 24th. This compact SUV is expected to be one of India’s most budget-friendly options. The new version comes with updated aesthetics and features. Renault has released teaser images, showcasing a C-shaped taillamp, a shark fin antenna, and a sporty rear bumper. A new, vibrant green color option will also be available. The updated model will feature a redesigned front, including a new grille with the Renault logo, while retaining the split headlamps of the current model. The side profile is likely to remain similar, with dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, body cladding, roof rails, and square wheel arches. The Kiger facelift will offer two petrol engine options: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The first engine delivers 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the second produces 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will remain the same: a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic. A CNG option will be available as a retrofit at dealerships. Interior details have yet to be revealed, but a new freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new cabin theme, and updated seat upholstery are anticipated. Existing features like a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charger, automatic AC, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, steering-mounted controls, air filter, and ambient lighting will likely be retained. The new 2025 Renault Kiger is expected to be priced similarly to the current model, which ranges from ₹6.15 lakh to ₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Brezza in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment.
