If you’re considering purchasing a new vehicle, it might be prudent to hold off for a bit, as several new models are slated for release. Based on observed test vehicles and reports, the following cars could potentially launch in the coming months. Here’s what you need to know about these upcoming releases.
**Nissan C-segment SUV**
Nissan is reportedly preparing to introduce a new compact MPV, drawing inspiration from the Renault Triber. This vehicle will share several features with the forthcoming Duster, anticipated to launch in the first half of 2026. The debut of this new SUV is expected on October 7. Initial models will likely be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine, with a seven-seater variant also planned.
**Updated Mahindra Thar Facelift**
Unlike earlier test models, the refreshed 3-door Thar is expected to receive minor visual updates. The existing petrol and diesel engines are expected to be retained, along with the current transmission options. Interior enhancements, including a larger screen and additional features, are anticipated based on sightings of the test vehicles.
**Skoda Octavia RS**
Skoda showcased the Octavia RS at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 earlier this year. The official sales launch is scheduled for October 17, with the vehicle being imported via the CBU route. The initial batch will be limited to 100 units and will boast several mechanical improvements over the standard models.
The car will be equipped with a 2.0L Turbo Petrol mill, kicking out 261 bhp at 370 Nm.
**Citroen Aircross X**
Following the introduction of the X range in the C3 hatchback and Basalt SUV coupe, Citroen India is planning to launch a similar spec Aircross X. The French brand will introduce features such as all-LED lighting setup, new seat upholstery, ventilated seats, and more, but the powertrain is expected to remain the same.
