Tata Motors is preparing to launch three new compact SUVs, aiming to strengthen its position in the sub-4 meter segment. These models are expected to be priced under ₹10 lakh. The company plans to introduce two of these SUVs within three years. The Tata Punch facelift is anticipated to launch in November. According to reports, the Tata Punch facelift will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 7.0-inch display. Significant improvements are expected, including a larger driver display. The new Tata Punch may be offered with the existing 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options, along with 5-speed manual and automatic manual transmission options. The current Tata Punch CNG is available with a 5-speed manual transmission; however, the new Punch CNG might be available with a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
In 2027, Tata Motors is expected to launch the second-generation Nexon (codenamed: Garuda). This updated model may be offered with 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options. However, the SUV will not be available with a 1.5-liter diesel engine option, but it will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, and a power driver seat. Additionally, the Tata Scarlet, a muscular SUV, could also be launched, potentially competing with the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
