Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s electric two-wheeler brand, has launched new value-added services for its customers. These initiatives, announced just before the festive season in India, include a buyback plan, extended warranty coverage, and unlimited fast-charging benefits. Vida states that these services are designed to reduce the total cost of ownership and boost long-term confidence. The Assured Buyback program allows customers to receive up to 67.5% of the ex-showroom price after three years. This provides an exit option and facilitates easier acquisition of a new scooter.
Under this initiative, Vida is offering an extended warranty of up to 5 years or 75,000 km, including protection for 11+ critical components. Customers will also receive a battery warranty valid for 5 years/60,000 km, with options to extend it for battery replacement and protection against degradation, ensuring sustained long-term performance.
The brand has introduced a connectivity and fast-charging subscription called Vida Edge. This provides access to a network of 3,600 charging stations and over 40 connected features, such as live tracking, ride statistics, and OTA updates. Vida is also offering a 24/7 roadside assistance package across the country, including services for flat tires, battery discharge, and mechanical faults.
Hero sold over 10,000 e-scooters for the first time in July and performed even better in August. Driven by the increasing demand for the new Vida VX2 Go and Plus scooters, the company’s electric two-wheeler (e-2W) market share has increased to 13 percent. Hero is now in a position to achieve its goal of selling over 1 lakh electric two-wheelers in a year for the first time.
