Volkswagen is reportedly preparing a refreshed T-Roc, with a leaked design rendering hinting at a new look. The company has not officially confirmed any details, but the rendering has sparked speculation about an upcoming update to the popular SUV. The T-Roc was previously sold in India from 2020 to 2021, equipped with a 1.5 TSI engine. The model was imported as a CBU, making it relatively rare. The first batch saw only 1,000 units sold, and the car was discontinued in its second year in the Indian market.
Volkswagen is looking to increase its presence in the Indian market. The brand’s recent venture selling the Golf GTI has helped establish its image as a performance-focused marque with a rich heritage, and the potential new T-Roc could build on this. The leaked sketches reveal a fresh design approach compared to past Volkswagen models. The front of the car displays sharp styling elements reminiscent of the Lamborghini Urus. Furthermore, the vehicle features a sloping roofline that runs across the rear panel. The thick C-pillar emphasizes the designers’ goal of creating a coupe-like silhouette. It’s important to note that this rendering may not reflect the final design and may never materialize. However, if it does, it will likely attract attention.
