Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav narrowly avoided injury when a speeding truck collided with his convoy in Vaishali district, Bihar. The incident occurred early Saturday morning on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway. The former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister was returning to Patna after a political event in Madhepura when the convoy stopped for a break. While Yadav was taking a tea break a short distance away, the truck crashed into two vehicles of his security detail. Three security officials were injured and promptly taken to a local hospital. Yadav visited the injured officials, inquiring about their condition. Authorities arrested the truck driver at the scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. The incident has renewed concerns about the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar’s roads, particularly during nighttime hours. RJD members expressed relief and called for improved road safety measures and stricter traffic rule enforcement.
