Challenges and Opportunities for Specialty Coffee in Nagaland

The meeting identified key obstacles such as poor road connectivity, limited processing infrastructure, fragmented land holdings, climate‑related risks, shortage of skilled labor and constrained access to international markets. At the same time, participants pointed to high‑value avenues like specialty coffee production, organic certification, coffee tourism, value‑addition, local roasting enterprises, cafe culture, e‑commerce platforms and youth‑led start‑ups as growth engines for the state.
