Debt‑oriented mutual funds recorded a net outflow of roughly ₹1.09 lakh crore (₹1.09 trillion) in June, continuing a pattern of withdrawals from the segment.
The outflow was the highest since the start of the year and eclipsed May's outflow of ₹96,948 crore.
Among the 16 debt categories, liquid funds led the exits with ₹42,293 crore redeemed, followed by low‑duration funds at ₹16,484.01 crore and money‑market funds at ₹10,595 crore.
Investor sentiment appears to be shifting toward higher‑yielding or more liquid alternatives, possibly in response to expectations of rising interest rates.
