New Delhi, October 17 – HDFC Bank's provisioning figures rose to ₹3,574 crore for FY27 Q2, surpassing the ₹3,500 crore mark recorded a year ago and exceeding the ₹3,059 crore set in the previous quarter. The increase reflects the bank's proactive approach to managing credit risk.
During the same period, gross NPA ratio improved to 1.11% from 1.17%, and net NPA ratio fell to 0.37% from 0.41%, indicating a healthier loan book.
Higher provisions, coupled with continued growth in deposits and advances, suggest that the bank is balancing earnings expansion with prudent risk controls.
