Indian Stock Leaders See Mixed Gains as L&T and LIC Decline
While five of the top‑ten Indian equities posted gains, two major players experienced a fall in their market values. Larsen & Toubro’s capitalisation slipped by ₹18,097.72 crore, leaving it at ₹5,24,840.68 crore. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) also saw a reduction of ₹12,080.75 crore, closing the week at ₹5,48,124.30 crore.
Bharti Airtel’s market cap decreased by ₹7,706.45 crore to stand at ₹11,91,067.77 crore, and HDFC Bank’s valuation fell by ₹7,084.61 crore, settling at ₹12,62,369.81 crore. Hindustan Unilever’s worth dipped marginally by ₹1,221.79 crore, reaching ₹5,03,775.86 crore. Despite these setbacks, Reliance Industries remained the most valuable listed company in India, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, Bajaj Finance, LIC, L&T and Hindustan Unilever.
