The report warns that without a faster pace of localization, a large share of the projected demand could still be met through imports. Critical components such as AC compressors, TV display panels, refrigerator insulation and washing‑machine motors remain heavily dependent on global supply chains. Current bill‑of‑materials localization rates range from 25 to 70 percent across categories, with refrigerators and washing machines showing higher domestic content than TVs and air conditioners.
