Modi’s Vision ‘Developed India 2047’ Drives Strong GDP and Infrastructure Gains

Chandigarh, September 3 – Punjab BJP chief Keval Singh Dhillon reiterated that the impressive economic figures emerging from India are a direct reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long‑term vision of a ‘Developed India 2047’.

He pointed out that while many countries are wrestling with inflationary pressures and sluggish growth, India posted a 7.8 percent increase in GDP for the first quarter, underscoring a resilient and fast‑moving economy.

Dhillon compared this performance with the growth rates of the world’s major economies, arguing that India is fast becoming one of the principal engines of global economic expansion.

Sectoral data further illustrate the impact of the government’s agenda: information technology and financial services expanded by 12.1 percent, manufacturing by 9.2 percent, and infrastructure and investment by 11.9 percent. These gains, he said, are evidence of successful policy measures designed to stimulate industry, attract capital and modernise the nation’s infrastructure.

Domestic consumption rose 7.1 percent and exports grew 12 percent, signalling strong internal demand and an expanding presence in global trade. Dhillon emphasized that India’s economy is not only firmly rooted at home but is also extending its reach as a significant global economic force.

He highlighted that the ‘Developed India 2047’ blueprint rests on pillars such as a solid fiscal foundation, world‑class infrastructure, rising industrial output, a digital revolution and expanding opportunities for the country’s youthful workforce.

According to Dhillon, the confidence and international clout of India are on an upward trajectory under Modi’s leadership, proving that effective policies, decisive governance and active citizen involvement can steer the nation toward full development and self‑reliance by 2047.
