₹1 Lakh Crore Project to Transform Rayalaseema into Global Horticulture Hub

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister has outlined an ambitious plan worth one lakh crore to cover ten districts, including eight in Rayalaseema and two neighboring areas. The scheme envisions the region becoming a world‑class horticulture centre, backed by the Prime Minister, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and other multilateral agencies. It will promote modern farming techniques, improve water‑use efficiency and focus on raising crop yields through advanced technology.
