Rural Banks Reach ₹13.5 lakh crore Business, Serve 700 Districts

Collectively, the 28 RRBs crossed the ₹13.5 lakh crore mark in total business during FY 2025‑26. The banks operate 22,273 branches across 26 states and three union territories, extending their reach to roughly 700 districts. Their presence continues to be pivotal in expanding banking services in rural and semi‑urban areas.
