Engineers have designed the Varanasi link corridor for speeds of 80 to 100 kilometres per hour. This high‑speed standard will halve the journey time between NH‑31 and Kashi Railway Station, slashing it from roughly 40 minutes to just 20 minutes. The reduction in travel time is expected to curb traffic density on city streets, lower accident risk, and decrease fuel consumption for commuters and commercial vehicles alike.
