According to the latest bulletin from the India Bullion Jewellery Association, the price of 24‑carat gold settled at ₹1,41,159 for 10 g, marking a drop of ₹2,209 from the prior week’s ₹1,43,368. 22‑carat gold traded at ₹1,29,302 per 10 g, and 18‑carat at ₹1,05,869 per 10 g. Silver’s price fell to ₹2,15,474 per kilogram, a decrease of ₹4,917 from ₹2,20,390. The highest gold price recorded this week was ₹1,42,289 on 13 July morning, while the lowest was ₹1,41,159 on 17 July evening. Globally, gold prices linger around $4,000 per ounce and silver around $57 per ounce. Market observers cite the growing US‑Iran tension as a key factor behind the price erosion.
