West Bengal receives major road fund for Bagdogra‑Pani‑Tanki stretch

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has allocated ₹2,077.18 crore for widening NH‑327’s Bagdogra‑Pani‑Tanki corridor in West Bengal. Alongside the four‑lane expansion, the project will add three new river bridges, a road‑over‑bridge, five elephant‑friendly underpasses and service roads, expected to cut travel time and boost commerce for tea, timber and tourism.
