Aamir Khan has made a surprising decision regarding the release of his upcoming film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ He has turned down a ₹120 crore offer from Amazon Prime Video for the movie’s digital rights. This move, not driven by financial gain, is a deliberate attempt to revitalize the theatrical film-watching culture. Khan aims to challenge the prevalent trend of quick OTT releases, believing in the superior experience of cinema on the big screen. ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ a spiritual successor to ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ is scheduled for a June 20 release and stars Aamir Khan as a basketball coach alongside Genelia D’Souza. The film features a cast of ten debut actors with special needs.
