Aamir Khan has announced a new initiative to support filmmakers struggling to release their movies. Following the theatrical release of his film ‘Sitare Zameen Par,’ which was later made available on YouTube for ₹100, Khan revealed plans to assist others. He had previously declined a ₹125 crore offer from an OTT platform for ‘Sitare Zameen Par,’ choosing instead to release it on his YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies. Khan stated that he will release all films produced by his production house on this channel, which he calls ‘Janta Ka Theatre.’ He also intends to help filmmakers whose movies are unable to secure a release. Khan encouraged filmmakers with completed films to contact his team. If the team approves of a submitted film, it will be featured on the ‘Janta Ka Theatre’ channel, allowing the public to view it. Furthermore, Khan mentioned that if the audience enjoys a film, it will generate revenue, and the filmmakers will receive payment.
