Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has once again showcased his unique approach to film promotion, this time by playfully teasing comedian and actor Vir Das during the promotion of Das’s upcoming film, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’. The film, set for release on January 16, 2026, also marks the much-anticipated acting comeback of Aamir’s nephew, Imran Khan, who was last seen on screen in 2015.
A promotional video going viral features Aamir Khan in a mock interrogation of Vir Das regarding the film’s content. Aamir questions the presence of action, spy elements, and romance, humorously pointing out instances where Vir’s character seems to be on the receiving end of ‘beatings’ rather than dishing them out. He jokingly criticizes the film’s romantic sequences, where Vir’s character appears to be slapped, and even teases him about not featuring an ‘item number’ but becoming the ‘item girl’ himself.
The playful banter escalates with Aamir Khan declaring the film a ‘flop’, prompting Vir Das to retort by referencing Aamir’s own past film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The exchange culminates in a mock scuffle. However, the mood dramatically shifts when the film’s team enters, praising the movie’s quality. Aamir Khan immediately changes his tune, expressing immense pride and endorsing ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ as a great film.
This collaboration highlights Aamir Khan’s knack for creating engaging promotional content, adding an extra layer of buzz to Vir Das’s new venture and Imran Khan’s return to the limelight. The film also stars Mithila Palkar, Sharib Hashmi, and Mona Singh.
