Aamir Khan, fresh off the success of ‘Sitare Zameen Par,’ was reportedly set to star in a superhero film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, a recent report suggests that this project has been shelved. The film, which generated significant anticipation among fans, was expected to be a major undertaking. Prior to this potential collaboration, Khan made a cameo in Rajinikanth’s ‘Kuli,’ where his role received mixed reactions, though the film itself grossed over ₹500 crore. The reason for the cancellation is speculated to be the underwhelming response to ‘Kuli,’ which was directed by Kanagaraj. The director had originally envisioned the project with Suriya before considering Khan. This decision has disappointed fans who were eagerly awaiting the film. The fate of Khan’s other upcoming projects, including ‘Mahabharat’ and ‘Lahore 1947,’ remains uncertain.
