Popular Bhojpuri actress Aamrapali Dubey, known for her numerous successful films, has addressed the discrepancy surrounding her age. Having been a prominent figure in the industry since 2014, Dubey has achieved considerable success and is now among the highest-paid actresses. The commonly held belief was that she was 38 years old. In recent interviews, she had responded to marriage-related questions, acknowledging her age and the expectation of marriage. However, Dubey has now disclosed her actual age.
In an interview, Aamrapali Dubey stated, “I was born on January 11, 1992, but the people at Wikipedia messed up my date of birth. Even my elder sister, Aanchal Dubey, who is six years older than me, gets a year or two added to her age as well. She teases me the most, saying that I don’t look younger than her, although I am. But Wikipedia has now proved that I am not younger than her.” This revelation clarifies the long-standing public perception of her age.
During the interview, when asked if the 1987 mentioned on Wikipedia should be 1992, Aamrapali replied, “Yes, absolutely. It doesn’t matter to me, but the roles offered in the industry I come from depend on age. Older heroes romance much younger girls, but if a girl is of the same age, she is first offered the role of the hero’s heroine, and later, as her age increases, she is offered the role of their sister or mother. So, an actress’s age matters in the film industry, which is why it matters to me.” According to the date of birth Aamrapali Dubey has revealed, she is 33 years old.
In 2005, the TV serial ‘Saat Phere’ started on Zee TV, and a generation leap was shown at the end of 2008. Aamrapali Dubey entered this serial as the daughter of the lead pair. After that, Aamrapali did two or three more serials, and all were hits. In 2013, Aamrapali was offered her first Bhojpuri film, ‘Nirahua Hindustani,’ and she started working there. In 2014, the film ‘Nirahua Hindustani’ was released, which proved to be a blockbuster, and then Aamrapali dominated the Bhojpuri industry.
