The film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,’ starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, was released in theaters on the occasion of Vijayadashami. It faced competition at the box office from the South Indian film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1,’ directed by and starring Rishab Shetty. However, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has reportedly suffered a significant setback in this clash. The film’s earnings have been low, and it has failed to impress the audience. Recently, popular television actress Surbhi Chandna also went to watch the film but was deeply disappointed.
‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ was released on Thursday, October 2nd. The film also features actors like Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf in lead roles alongside Varun and Janhvi. However, the film has failed to hold the audience’s attention. Surbhi Chandna’s reaction is a clear example of this, as she described the film as ‘garbage’ and even suggested stopping its screening.
Surbhi, along with her husband Karan Sharma, went to watch the film on October 3rd. During the intermission, Karan recorded a video while eating a samosa and asked her how she felt about the film so far. She gave a surprising response. The actress said, “Only this (the samosa) is good in the film.” Sharing the video on her Instagram story, she wrote, “I’m blaming you for dragging me into this filth.”
During the climax when Tulsi (Janhvi) runs towards Sunny (Varun), Surbhi is heard shouting, ‘Hey… stop, stop! Someone stop this film right now.’ Karan shared this, writing, “A new weapon of mass destruction in Bollywood.”
‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has reportedly earned over 100 crore in India within 2 days, while ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has not even reached 15 crore. Surbhi Chandna, 36, has appeared in serials like ‘Naagin,’ ‘Qubool Hai,’ ‘Ishqbaaaz,’ ‘Sherdil Shergill,’ and ‘Dil Boley Oberoi,’ as well as the 2014 film ‘Bobby Jasoos.’
