‘Ai Meri Zindagi’ Revives Asha Bhosle’s Iconic Voice for Upcoming Film

Mumbai, September 8 – To commemorate the birth anniversary of famed playback singer Asha Bhosle, actress Sonia Rajdan released “Ai Meri Zindagi,” a classic track that will appear in the soon‑to‑release movie *Om Ka Hari*.

The short Instagram video features Bhosle in a striking blue sari, headphones snug, singing the unforgettable line in her signature timbre. The clip is a restored studio recording that highlights the timeless quality of her voice.

*Om Ka Hari* tells the story of a retired astrologer who, after encountering a serious health problem, becomes convinced that only six days remain for him. The narrative follows his quest to reconnect with estranged family members, especially a son he has lost contact with, taking him on a soul‑searching trip to Varanasi.

The film has already been screened at international festivals under the alternate title “Hari Ka Om,” with showings at the Indiesec Film Festival Stuttgart and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Asha Bhosle’s musical journey spanned more than eighty years, encompassing thousands of recordings in Hindi and various regional languages, ranging from romantic melodies to ghazals and contemporary pop. She passed away in Mumbai on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92.
