The reality show Bigg Boss, known for its dramatic moments, has become a platform for celebrities to share personal stories. In Bigg Boss 19, singer and composer Amaal Malik has shocked everyone by revealing bitter truths about his family.
During a recent episode, Amaal discussed various issues, from his relationship with his uncle, Anu Malik, to his father Daboo Malik’s struggles. He openly spoke about the mistreatment his mother faced.
Amaal blamed his uncle, Anu Malik, for his father Daboo Malik’s failed music career. He alleged that his uncle not only hindered his father’s progress but also treated him poorly.
Amaal shared that the stress within his family had a profound impact on his life, even before his birth. He stated that he has lived with trauma since his mother was pregnant. This revelation stunned the housemates and viewers.
Amaal further elaborated that his father never received the recognition he deserved in the music industry, and his uncle was somehow responsible. He recalled an incident where his father was called for a song recording. After years of struggle, when he finally got the opportunity, he was very happy. But a few days later, when Daboo Malik heard the song in a shop, he realized it was three years old and sung by Udit Narayan.
Amaal claimed that his father was called for a ‘mock recording’ to make him feel like he was getting work. This deception devastated his father, and he started taking ‘confidence pills’. Amaal described his uncle Anu Malik as a ‘bad person’ and attributed his change in behavior to his wife.
Amaal also shared his mother’s painful experiences. He revealed that his mother was made to do a lot of work in the family even when she was pregnant. Amaal said, “My mother was told a lot of things when she was pregnant with me. She used to live in a joint family, so she was made to work a lot.” One day, fed up with all this, his mother angrily hit her hand on a cupboard. Amaal said that he and his brother, Armaan Malik, are where they are today only because of their mother’s struggles.
Amaal Malik recounted another shocking incident. When he was just 7 years old, he was stuck on the streets of Juhu during heavy Mumbai rains. The water was chest-high, and he was crying. During this time, he saw his uncle’s car in front of him. He waved for help, but the people inside locked the car doors and left him. Amaal says that he has never been able to forget this incident, and he still gets angry remembering it. This is why he is known for his aggressive nature, and people say he swears a lot. According to Amaal, he doesn’t pretend, but it is the pain of his childhood that comes out.
