He described her as a ‘dear family friend’ with roots extending back to a time before India’s partition, highlighting a long-standing connection with her family and his own mother’s circle. Bachchan recalled the deep friendships between their families in pre-partition Punjab, noting that Kaushal’s elder sister was a close friend and classmate of his mother, forming a ‘joyous bunch of like-minded friends.’ The superstar extended his sincere condolences to Kaushal’s grieving family, lamenting the departure of a ‘most pleasant, warm, affectionate, and talented artist.’ He noted that an ‘era of great remembrance’ has concluded, not just for the film industry but for the broader community of friends.
