‘Mahavatar Narsimha’, the successful animated film, is set to premiere on Netflix following its theatrical run. The movie gained significant attention, establishing itself as a strong performer at the box office despite lacking major star power.
Netflix has announced that ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ will be available on its platform starting September 19, 2025. The film will be accessible in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Netflix India shared the release news with the message: “Bhakti shakti ka roop legi, Aa raha hai Mahavatar Narsimha. Watch Mahavatar Narsimha, out 19 September, 12:30 PM, on Netflix.”
The voice cast features Aditya Raj Sharma as Hiranyakashipu, Haripriya Matta as Prahlad, and Harjeet Walia as Lord Narsimha. Other voice actors include Sanket Jaiswal, Priyanka Bhandari, Vasundhra Bose, Sanchit Wartak, Saanwari Yagnik, Dinesh Varma, Uplaksh Kochhar, Akshay Joshi, Dixoan Shah, Shahid Zafar, Rakesh Soni, Ayushi Anand, and Anshul Sharma.
The storyline centers on the demon Hiranyakashyap, who proclaims himself a god. However, his son, Prahlad, remains a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. To protect Prahlad and defeat Hiranyakashyap, Lord Vishnu incarnates as Narsimha. ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ is a production of Kleem Productions and presented by Hombale Films, known for Kannada hits like ‘KGF Chapter 1’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Salaar’, and ‘Kantara’.
The filmmakers have plans for the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, which will feature films based on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The movie is directed by Ashwin Kumar and written by Jayapurna Das. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Sam C. S., with Ajay Verma and Ashwin Kumar serving as editors.
