Anupam Kher’s Heartfelt Video Captures Mother’s Love Ahead of US Tour

Celebrated actor Anupam Kher is preparing to take his acclaimed stage production “Jaan‑Pehchaan Anjaane” across the United States and Canada. Prior to the journey, the actor posted an emotional video featuring his mother Dulari, brother Raju and sister‑in‑law Reena, offering fans a glimpse into his personal world.

Accompanying the clip, Kher wrote that reaching a new phase in life often pulls people back toward the innocence of their early days. He admitted that although he planned a brief, smiling farewell, the conversation with his mother – peppered with Kashmiri idioms – morphed into a lively exchange.

He reflected, “With growing age, our thoughts tend to roam the passages of our childhood, where memories stay fresh.” The dialogue evolved from recollections of his mother’s younger years to a lighthearted commentary on Raju’s flamboyant moustache, which he jokingly compared to the black‑mustached figure of Charlie Chaplin.

“The simple home becomes extraordinary through its chorus of voices, occasional laughter, treasured recollections, and overflowing love,” Kher summarized, highlighting the profundity of ordinary family life.

The actor will be away for at least two months, after which he will return to continue his repertoire of films and theatrical performances.
