While Rajan Shahi’s popular show ‘Anupamaa’ has once again secured the top position, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ which topped the charts last week, has slipped to the fourth position.
This decline in the TRP of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ could be a major setback for the makers, especially since the nation’s favorite daughter-in-law ‘Tulsi’ Smriti Irani made a comeback on the small screen after 17 years.
‘Anupamaa’s’ dominance continues. Rupali Ganguly’s show ‘Anupamaa’ continues to win the hearts of viewers. Due to the twists and strong characters in the show, it has once again secured its place at the top with a TRP rating of 2.3. Right behind, with a TRP of 2.1, are two shows – Rajan Shahi’s other show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and Asit Kumar Modi’s comedy serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.
‘Taarak Mehta’s’ success is also considered significant because the show has maintained its position in the top-5 despite controversial statements by several former artists and the absence of ‘Dayaben’.
‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’s’ ratings slip. There was tremendous excitement surrounding the return of Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ 25 years ago. The new season of the show started with a bang, achieving a TRP of 2.5, but this enthusiasm seems to be waning. This week, its TRP has dropped to just 1.8, placing the show in fourth place from its top position. Several reasons are being attributed to this decline; social media claims suggest that a body double is being used in place of Smriti Irani in many scenes of the show. However, neither the makers nor Smriti Irani have issued any official statement on this.
