Actor Ashish Kapoor has been taken into custody in Pune following a complaint from a woman alleging rape. The incident reportedly occurred during a house party in Delhi last month. The woman initially accused multiple individuals but later revised her statement, naming Kapoor as the sole perpetrator. Authorities filed a First Information Report (FIR) on August 11, initially citing gang rape, which was later amended to reflect a single count of rape. Police investigations tracked Kapoor from Delhi to Goa, ultimately leading to his apprehension in Pune. CCTV footage and witness accounts reportedly place Kapoor and the woman together in a washroom. The complainant has alleged the assault was filmed, but law enforcement has stated no such evidence has been recovered.
