Ashish Vidyarthi Highlights AI Opportunities and Adani Health Initiative

Actor Ashish Vidyarthi shared his perspective on artificial intelligence during a conversation with IANS in Kolkata.

He noted that the growing presence of AI in routine life naturally triggers apprehension, but emphasized that learning and applying the technology is essential for personal growth.

"When computers first arrived, people were uneasy. The same pattern repeated with the web and later the internet. Change is inevitable, and adaptation is crucial," he said. "Embracing AI opens doors; ignoring it can leave you isolated."

Vidyarthi positioned AI as a powerful catalyst for enhancing individual talent and achieving greater milestones.

He also responded to the Adani Group's announced commitment to pour more than one lakh crore rupees into West Bengal by 2035. Vidyarthi welcomed the move, stressing that such investments must uplift both affluent investors and common citizens.

A centerpiece of the plan is the 2,000‑bed "Adani Aarogya Mandir" in Kolkata's New Town, described as a non‑profit hospital featuring a state‑of‑the‑art medical college, advanced research units and integrated digital‑health technology.

Half of the 2,000 beds – 1,000 – will be allocated to economically disadvantaged patients eligible under state and central health‑insurance schemes. The project is projected to generate over 10,000 employment opportunities and will see an additional investment of more than 4,000 crore rupees in medical education and research.

Vidyarthi, known for diverse roles in movies such as "Drohkaal", "Baji", "Jeet" and "Kismat", concluded that development should serve the nation and its people simultaneously.
