Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Pati Patni Aur Woh 2' Shoot Halted in Prayagraj After Crew Assault, Main Accused Apprehended

Filming for Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming film 'Pati Patni Aur Woh 2' was interrupted in Prayagraj following a violent altercation between the film crew and local residents. The incident occurred on August 27th at Thornhill Road during the shooting of a car sequence. The production head of the film, Zoheb Solapurwala of BR Chopra Films, was allegedly attacked by locals. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed on August 28th at the Civil Lines Police Station based on a complaint submitted by line producer Saurabh Tiwari. The prime suspect, Meraj Ali, has since been arrested. Videos of the incident, now circulating online, depict locals engaging in a heated argument with the film crew before the situation escalated into violence. While some individuals attempted to de-escalate the situation, others joined the attack, causing significant disruption on the set. An official statement from the filmmakers is yet to be released.
