Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa, premiered in theaters on September 5th. While the film marks a comeback for Shroff and has garnered praise for its action sequences, it hasn’t matched the opening day collections of the previous two installments in the Baaghi franchise. The film’s release coincided with several other movies, but the primary competition appears to be with its own predecessors.
The Baaghi franchise has been successful, with the first two parts being major hits. The third installment didn’t create a blockbuster impact but was still considered a success. Baaghi 4, featuring Sanjay Dutt as the menacing villain, generated significant anticipation.
According to recent reports from Sacnilk, Baaghi 4 earned 12 crore on its opening day. Initial estimates, factoring in advance bookings, predicted a collection of 12-14 crore. With a production budget of 200 crore, the film has received mixed reviews. Critics suggest the film needs to accelerate its earnings to recoup its budget.
Baaghi 2, released in 2018, had a strong opening, collecting 25 crore on its first day. Baaghi 3, which came out in 2020, also performed well on its opening day, earning 17.50 crore.
Baaghi 4 is now looking forward to potential increased earnings on Saturday and Sunday. The film features a cast including Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Saurabh Sachdev, Upendra Limaye, and Shreyas Talpade. Directed by A. Harsh, the film faces a crucial test starting Monday, despite the potential advantage of a two-day weekend.
