Bengali actress Paoli Dam celebrates her 44th birthday today. Dam has not only made a mark in Bengali cinema but has also been a part of several Bollywood projects. She is widely recognized for her role in the Hindi film ‘Hate Story,’ where she delivered a sensational performance. Dam began her career with the Bengali television serial ‘Jibon Niye Khela’ in 2003, followed by roles in shows like ‘Tithi Atithi’ and ‘Sonar Harin’. Initially, Dam did not aspire to be an actress; she wanted to be a pilot and holds a degree in chemistry. Her debut Bengali film was ‘Teen Yaari Katha’. In 2011, she gained international recognition for her role in the Bengali film ‘Chatrak’, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as film festivals in Toronto and the UK. In 2012, Dam made her Bollywood debut with ‘Hate Story’ and also starred in Sohel Tatari’s film ‘Ankur Arora Murder Case’. She has also delivered strong performances in web series such as ‘Bulbbul’, ‘Charlie Chopra’, and ‘The Great Indian Murder’.
