A week is often enough to determine a film’s success or failure. The releases of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Dhadak 2’ on August 1st have completed their first week. Judging by the performance of these two films, it’s highly unlikely they’ll be included in the hit list. Their fate appears to be sealed within a week. The box office figures for the 7th day have been released, and remarkably, ‘Saiyaara’ has surpassed their 7th-day earnings with its 21st-day collection.
‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ seem to be faltering in the face of ‘Saiyaara’s’ earnings surge. Within a week, a downward spiral has begun for both films. According to the latest report from Sacnilk, Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Dhadak 2’ collected a mere 1 crore on its seventh day of release. The film’s total earnings for the week reached only 16.44 crore.
‘Son of Sardar 2’ has also seen its fortunes decline. ‘Son of Sardar 2’ earned 1.40 crore at the box office on its seventh day of release. The total collection of this film within 7 days is 32.89 crore. However, this is not a favorable figure for Ajay, and the film appears to be heading towards being a flop.
The success of Ahaan Pandey’s ‘Saiyaara’ continues to shine. Despite 21 days passing, ‘Saiyaara’ continues to earn. This film earned more than ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ on its 21st day of release, with a business of 1.85 crore. The total collection of this film in India has now reached 308.45 crore. Globally, the film has crossed the 500 crore mark.
Ahaan triumphs over Ajay and Siddhant. Considering the box office results of ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’, both films are far from reaching their budgets. Ajay’s film has a budget of 100 crore, while Siddhant’s film has a budget of around 40-50 crore. However, both films are now struggling.
