Busan International Film Festival to Showcase 'Birds in the Dark'

The 31st edition of the Busan International Film Festival will feature the Indian Punjabi film "Birds in the Dark" as part of its competition lineup. The movie, directed by Shashank Valiya, follows a disillusioned police officer and an innocent man caught in false accusations, set against the backdrop of a farmer‑led uprising. Director Hansal Mehta shared his enthusiasm on social media, recalling how the project arrived via Moli Singh and Ankur Pathak and how the first cut left him amazed. He also lauded the cinematography, the editing work of co‑producer Reema Kaur, and the dedication of the entire crew.
