The much-anticipated anime film, “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc,” has premiered in India, offering anime enthusiasts a fresh cinematic experience. This 2025 Japanese dark fantasy action film, based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular “Chainsaw Man” manga, debuted in Japan on September 19 and in select Asian countries on September 24. Indian audiences can now view the film in both Japanese and Hindi from September 26, 2025.
Despite the excitement surrounding its release, the box office performance of “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” has not yet reached the record-breaking success of “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.”
The film opened with a modest response, earning approximately Rs 0.5 crore on its first day, according to initial estimates. Day 2 saw a slight increase, with collections reaching around Rs 0.74 crore, bringing the two-day total to approximately Rs 1.24 crore.
The voice cast includes Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki, Fairouz Ai as Power, Karin Takahashi as Kobeni, Natsuki Hanae as Beam, Yuuya Uchida as The Violence Fiend, Maaya Uchida as Angel Devil, and Reina Ueda as Reze.
The storyline centers around Denji, now known as ‘Chainsaw Man,’ a boy with a devil’s heart, who works as a devil hunter with Special Division 4. After a movie date with Makima, the girl he likes, he finds himself taking shelter from the rain and encounters Reze, a girl employed at a café.
